This type is best suited for a larger capacity
and a longer electrodes, it is adopted where
the discharge electrodes are up to about 15
meters long. Further, life of the discharge
electrodes is long and provability of wire
breaking is very small.
There are two types of wet-type electrostatic precipitators the cylindrical type with a round casing and the plate type with a rectangular-shaped casing.
These wet-type electrostatic precipitators are generally used for special applications where dry-type electrostatic precipitators would not be suitable due to the pressure of dusty gases
containing mists, the need for purification to reduce dust concentration or refining process required for fuel gas production.
